Transcript: LBC Morning News Thursday 22nd November

In order to wright a good news story I have looked at LBC and listened and scripted news stories in order that I will be able to write and script my news story.

Presenter: Good morning and thanks for joining us this Thursday 22nd November between now and Nick Ferrari at 7 we will be brining you all the top stories from here in London as well as across the UK.

Making the news today: Both sides clame victory in Gaza but who can win the piece?

Soundbite: ...The threat that Israel faces very real but it is good thing that we now have cease fire and of course that is only the first part of what must be a wider agreement...

Sinking under the backlog at the border: also, the UK defies Europe prisoner voting rights

Soundbite: ...Most people in this country will actually say that actually if your convicted such a serious offense even if you only inside for a limited period you should forfeit your right to vote...

First though, let's get you a summary of the news with Holly Ford

Story 1

News presenter: Both sides are claiming victory as an uneasy piece falls across Israel and Gaza. The two sides have agreed a ceasefire which came in to affect last night it follows 8 days of conflict but leaders of both sides worn when they are ready to resume military activities if they are provoked including Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Netanyahu (speaks in Hebrew)

Translator: I know there are citizens expecting a lot of military action and perhaps we need to do so but the right thing for Israel is to use this opportunity to achive a long lasting cease fire.

Story 2

News presenter: A house fire in Essex last month in which a mother and her 5 children died is now being treated by police as a murder inquiry. The father of the family Dr Abdul Shakoor was the only survivor of the fire in Harrow. Officers believe the house had been burgled beforehand.

Story 3

News presenter: A 14 year old, and 15 year old boy are being questioned on suspicion of murder after a pensioner died following a mugging in west London. The 85 year old victim was robbed in an alleyway in Greenford on Monday and died in hospital the next day.

Story 4

News presenter: A report has found thousands of immigrants were allowed to stay in the UK without proper checks because of a backlog of cases of the boarder agency. The chief expecter of boarders and immigration found staff dealt with immigration cases so unofficially so at one point 100 thousand pieces of post were unopened

Story 5

News presenter: Plans for new laws to stop prisoners getting the vote will be published later in defiance of European judges. The European court of human rights has ruled Britans current blanket ground breachers the law. MP's will consider a number of options. Conservatives MP Dominic Raab's says giving inmates the vote isn't what the public wants

News presenter: Jimmy Savile's former PA says the late TV star thought he was untouchable. Jenna Cope says he has free rain of Broadmoor high security hospital and would walk in on patients whilst they bathed

ITV showed a second documentary on Savile last night. this women clamed he abused her. But when she raised it with her bosses she was put into solitary confinement.
